The proceeds from The RISE and Shine Charity Golf Tournament benefit The University of Alabama RISE School, an on-campus school founded by former Alabama coach Gene Stallings that caters to the needs of developmentally disabled children and their normally developing peers. The Student Alumni Association is an on-campus organization representing the best and brightest UA students who seek to further their involvement by engaging the campus and Tuscaloosa community in meaningful projects, including an annual Halloween Festival for the children of the area and recruitment efforts for students connected to UA alumni. SAA teams with the Beta Delta chapter of Alpha Tau Omega for the annual golf tournament. ATO is recognized for their high academic records and commitment to campus and community service. Among other signature successes, ATO is regarded for creating The LeaderShape Institute.
